There are different types of leadership needed to support heathy growth of a Christian Community Hub, These are the main three:-

Visionary/Pioneering Leadership: Every new enterprise requires a visionary leader. Someone who see beyond the obstacles towards what could be, and who has faith to trust in God for what sometimes seems impossible. A good visionary leader will bring the team along with her/him and not do it all themselves. For this type of work it is essential that the visionary leader immerses themselves as one of the community, treating others as equals, whilst still providing overall leadership and direction.

Pastoral Evangelism: The Christian community that can emerge within this kind of initiative will need nurturing both as a community if faith and as individuals discovering and growing in Christian faith. This requires someone who will lead the team in caring for people in the community and gently encouraging them as they discover faith in Jesus as part of the community. For the pastoral evangelist to be effective they need to be able to devote their time to many supportive relationships with guests, volunteers and staff. They should ideally enable others (volunteers) to assist in this role so that the whole community grows together. A good pastoral evangelist may struggle to provide visionary oversight as well and they will almost certainly not be able to look after the details of operations and administration. Teamwork is essential.

Administration/Operations: In my experience effective visionary leaders and pastoral evangelists are utterly dependent on someone leading on all the details, making sure things are done in a planned, safe sustainable way. They may not often be the person in the public eye, but they are aften the real heroes!
